Chocolate and peanut butter, strawberries and cream, apples and brown sugar, move over, there is a new flavour combination in town. Introducing our Earl Grey IPA.
We have combined the wonderful fragrance of bergamot and the tannic dryness of black tea with our malty, well balanced IPA to create a brewing masterpiece. Truly worthy of the title: Earl of IPA.
Who needs paparazzi when each sip unveils more and more flavor in this royal brew. Aromas of bergamot can be found waltzing over this elegant ale, while each sip reveals a new revelation walking the line between malt body and dry tannin. Consider pairing with small cucumber sandwiches or shortbread cookies.
No need to wait for tea time, this brew will be available starting this weekend at the following locations:
- Rocksalt Cafe
- Spinnakers Brew Pub
- Moon Under Water Brew Pub
- The Churchill
- The Snug Pub
- The Drake Eatery
- The Guild Freehouse
- The Brewery Tasting Room
We used the last of our Saltspring Island estate grown hops in a very limited brew we call “Homegrown”! In Victoria you can look for the last of this rare brew at The Garrick’s Head.
Who was lucky enough to try our RPA or “Rye Pale Ale” last time around? Well we are pleased to announce that it is back by popular demand! This years version is bigger and badder with a higher rye content in the grain bill and a higher ABV at 7%. Draught only and quantities are extremely limited.
Most beers boil for about an hour to extract the grainy goodness in wort. But our Rye Pale Ale boils away for three hours to intensify the rye characteristic and bring out a deep rich flavour. Did we also mention that most rye beers are often only 15-20% Rye grain and that ours weighs in at a whopping 40%!?! We love Rye that much.
Look for it on tap at the following locations:
- The Churchill
- Oak Bat Marina
- The Guild
- Moon Under Water
- The Drake
- Cafe Brio
- North 48
